How we rate

A short, honest note on PickYourMeals scores and what they do not mean.

Scores are editorial fit-to-need.They are not lab tests, medical advice, or paid rankings.

What we look at

  1. Category fit: prepared / ready-to-eat services come first. Meal kits appear only for contrast.
  2. Need fit: protein ease, freeze preference, budget band, menu structure, and practical delivery coverage.
  3. Freshness and macros: brand claims and service-reported labels are treated as inputs—not independent lab verification.
  4. Real-world caveats: plan size, shipping, promos, SKU differences, and ZIP restrictions can change the answer.

What “Unknown” means

If we have not verified a price, macro, freeze status, or delivery zone for the relevant product and ZIP, we print Unknown — check the service. We do not turn a homepage claim into a national guarantee.

How to use a score

Use it to decide which service is worth checking first. Then open the live menu, enter your ZIP, read the product label, and price the renewal box. If the service does not fit your non-negotiables, the score does not rescue it.

Editorial boundaries

PickYourMeals does not sell meals or process payments. Affiliate CTAs remain placeholders until partner tracking links go live; scoring rules still apply. We do not publish drug-centric diet funnels, and we do not accept a paid ranking in place of fit.
